Before you make a report

This Speak-Up channel is provided by Ethiopian Skylight Hospitality Group so that team members, guests, suppliers and anyone working with us can raise a concern about conduct that may breach our Code of Conduct or the law of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Every report goes directly and only to the Managing Director.

Please read before you continue

  • Not for emergencies. If anyone is in immediate danger, call the police (991), ambulance (907) or fire service (939) first, then report here.
  • Good faith. You do not need proof. If you honestly believe something is wrong, that is enough. Knowingly making a false report to harm someone is itself a breach of the Code.
  • Anonymity. You may report without giving your name. Giving your name helps us ask follow-up questions, but the choice is yours. Avoid putting identifying details in your answers if you wish to stay anonymous.
  • Confidentiality. Your report is shared only with those who need it to look into the matter properly. Some matters may have to be reported to the relevant Ethiopian authorities, in line with the law.
  • No retaliation. No one will be dismissed, demoted, threatened, denied shifts or treated badly for raising a concern in good faith, in the spirit of the Protection of Witnesses and Whistleblowers Proclamation No. 699/2010.
  • Not for routine matters. Ordinary guest requests, leave or payroll questions are best raised with your manager or Human Capital first.

Your personal data

Information you give is held by Ethiopian Skylight Hospitality Group, Addis Ababa, in line with the Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024. It is used only to assess and investigate the concern, kept no longer than needed, and protected against unauthorised access. People named in a report may have rights under the law, which the Group will balance against protecting you and the investigation. This channel does not record your IP address or device.

After you submit

You will receive a report key and use the password you choose. Keep both safe - there is no way to recover them. Return to Follow up on a report after 5–7 working days to see the status, answer questions and add information.
